Raw Footage Help?

Hi, guys.

I'm a film student (and hopefully future owner of a Panasonic DVX or HVX). I'm working on my first short film project with a classmate of mine, we should be shooting in a couple of weeks.

We will be using his Panasonic DVX100 to shoot this short. However, he's a really busy guy and I have all the time in the world, so our schedules don't exactly match and I'm having a really hard time at getting some RAW DVX footage so I can start testing it on Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas. I would like to get a feel for the type of video I'll be working with, but all I can seem to find are clips that have already been edited and processed.

Does anyone know where I could get some raw footage to play around with? It'll be mostly interior shots with moderate daylight at 24p Advanced, if that helps.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could hook me up.

P.S.: What's a good (and free) renderer for exporting from Sony Vegas?

Where are you? I recently shot some interview footage in 24pa on my DVX 100B...flourescent, daylight, and small portable light. ... old shoemaker machines and interview of shoemaker...do you have a way to capture and edit dv footage? My teacher swears that you need a panasonic DVX in order to capture 24fps footage. (I'm not certain whether the DVX actually converts the 24 fps shooting speed back to 30 fps as it records the data on tape.) But all good info for you to consider? I could lay some footage on tape and mail it to you ? Your best deal is to borrow your friend's DVX, learn all about the camera yourself and start shooting your own TEST footage to play with before your BIG SHOOT.
