Anyone out there with an F3 thats also using the Sekonic L758 Cine?

I have a shoot coming up where we will be shooting with the F3 - Slog to cinedeck and whilst Ill be able to location lighting pre shoot - I may not have the camera until the shoot, so Im trying to work out some settings etc In addition I wont be able to do any kind of range mapping with the light meter, so was hoping someone may have and wouldnt mind giving me some info. Cheers

I've done some tests with my F3 and Sekonic Zoom Master L-508 to figure out some workable ranges and read f4 to get exposure at middle grey (50IRE) in Rec 709 mode.

My settings: Middle grey card, 50 IRE on F3, 1/48th shutter, 0db (ISO800) in Rec 709 mode (non S-LOG), 42 fc at 1.34 meters.

This quick guide I put together shows the dynamic range of the different gamma modes and middle grey location: http://www.starcentral.ca/Sony PMW.pdf. If you're using S-LOG, middle grey goes to 35 IRE and I believe ISO becomes 1600. So from my base measurement I think you'd need around f5.6 to expose middle grey.

Hi Noel,
I have an F3 and the Sekonic L758 Cine meter too. We'll be using s-log with PIX240 that is expected next week. I am away in East Timor, where will be shooting a feature film:

Please let me know how I can help with our set-up.

Kind of hoping you have gone through the camera profiling process and you could send me the file created by the profiling software and to what settings on the F3 the profile was created. That would be very handy.
