Random, corrupt frames of footage.....

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, so forgive me if it has.

Lately, I have been finding random, corrupt frames in the footage captured by my AF100. Here is a screenshot:

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you go about fixing it?

Just so you know, the SDXC Card I am recording onto is a Lexar Professional SDXC 64gb 133x Speed

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Before you pin the blame on the card, let me ask this: are you seeing these frames from playback from the camera? Or only after the footage has been transferred to a computer?

I have seen this in some of my transcoded footage. it only happens when i transcode on my somewhat older macbook pro in FCP 7.0.3. Doesn't happen on my desktop and if I use clipwrap on my laptop, I don't get any artifacting.

As Barry, & Jan, are getting at, it's almost assuredly a transcode issue. There were threads about this awhile back, & MacBooks coupled with FCP were the culprit.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!

Barry & Jan: I checked the footage while playing the card back through the camera. No corruption what so ever.

Bern: That's interesting, since I have a 2010 Macbook Pro with FCP 7.0.3 on it.

Rick: I will definitely give that a shot. I'll report back and let everyone know if that fixed the problem :)

Yeah, that's what I was getting at -- the footage on the card is what's most important, and I have found the cameras to be extremely reliable in this aspect. I don't know that I've ever heard of a corruption issue that was the camera's fault, it's always a transcoding/copying error and usually Mac-based. The only way to know for sure, of course, is to check the footage via playback from the card to know if your original footage is good. Glad to hear your original footage is okay!
