Random 35mm Grabs

Microwax has made it a lot better. It's amazing...with a good lens, there's literally no chromatic abberation. This thing is actually fully capable of providing decent quality images, and the wax screen I made is a pretty rough and quickly made one.

Most of the softness here really is just my inability to focus. You can see that the leaves are actually very sharp (at least the in focus part.)

The only trick is the microwax screen. If I could find slightly cheaper suppliers, I could build these adapters for about 50 dollars or less with better results than this even.

Looking good policar...

the thing that really jumps to mee in those graps is the lack of the resolution off center... it seems like a special effects lens to me...

Yes, good catch. There's vignetting, too unfortuantely.

It's mostly because I used a cheap macro lens, but also because the off center areas are out of focus. It's not as bad as it looks, but it is pretty bad.

Then again, for $50 in parts, what do you expect? Overall, I am really happy with the results. I'm not going to use it for any serious work (I might buy a G35 for that), but I'd be willing to use it as b-reel for some multiple camera shooting.

Yeah, sure, for 50 bucks it is very cool.

What I can say is that we can notice severe edge softening, even when the borders are in focus. I'm talking about the second clip, where we can see different dephts of the floor in the right side of the image, but none seem to be in focus, you know?

But other than that, yeah looks pretty good, I like it!
