ramped movement across frame in FCP?

I have a shot where I've pushed in a bit. At the end of the shot, I'm pulling back out to the full frame. I've only messed with the 'motion' tab that's native within FCP, but is there an easy way to ramp that movement instead of just suddenly starting and stopping?

I've never tried this before and I'm sure I could manually set a bunch of keyframes, but I'm sure there's an easier way. I think that After Effects (or is it Sony Vegas?) has a really easy way to add a ramp-up or ramp-down to shots. Any suggestions for FCP?

Thanks

Right or control click on the out keyframe and you'll get smoothing options.

Dude, am I seriously that ignorant? I guess I was! :) Thanks Noah, I figured it should be something simple like that but wasn't finding anything when Googling.

Thanks!

I recently discovered that too. Once you click 'smooth" you can adjust the curve of the ramp with the little handles that it puts on there.
One problem I had was when the movement need was so small that one 'pixel' of movement up and down in the keyframe window would either be too much or too little, even if I dragged that section down so it was a giant window. The solution was to split the clip in two and adjust them separately. ( I was using the variable speed, not the sizing)

Personally I find the controls in Motion far more intuitive but it's quicker sometimes to just muscle it in with FCP.
