1080 24p with 35mm lens'?

not a single one other than record time and smaller files. HVX200 1080p looks GREAT. much sharper than 720p.
This answer might be obvious but any variable frame rate footage must be done in 720.
Remember, no sound will get recorded.
but as far as the adapter goes there's no problems you will come across either way (720 or 1080) while using a lens adapter.
1080 will be sharper and better for keying and compositing.... 720 takes up less space allowing you to shoot longer between p2/firestore dumps

it "records" 1080i, but it capteres in 1080p, then lays it down to a 2:3 pulldown in the interlace stream. then your NLE reconstitutes the progressive frames.
