Ralph Lauren commercial shot with 5D MII

lol interesting thread...

Personally I didn't feel it... but I agree it probably has an impact in their target audience - which is the point.

I have absolutely no comprehension on why most of the comments on this amateur forum would critise this professional looking well made short ad...... Unless of course they are idiots....Yeah that would explain it.

To those who posted awful Rap and Wedding videos to suggest the OP's work was below par then all I can say is as the T-shirt say's.

I concur about the Rap video - I thought it was cliched and badly lit (internal shots), and nowhere near as good as the RL video. Strage choice of video to make a point with!

However, one of the wedding videos was amazing I thought: http://vimeo.com/4821590

Certain shots felt a bit videoey, but apparently it was shot in 30p, instead of 24, which might explain it.

Jeeze, it does not look like crap (unless you're a Red fanboy)...

It's a fashion piece with a lifespan of a few months and it works for what it is.

.

I think the team that did this commercial have done really well, Might have made a lot of $ ... Which is the bottom line of the business... minimal cost maximum profit

Remember it's the end result that counts, and I'm pretty sure the client would have liked it.

One can have the best camera on set and yet have no style...

This commercial has the style that suits the mood ...

There are some real people out there working and making a living out of their craft
Are you one of them and not some weekend warrior ?
