I am the 1st AC on Raising Kayn a new web series that is going to start showing on September 4th 2009. This is going to be a really great Web Series that has just finished Principle shooting.

We shot this pretty much on a Zero Budget and it looks great. Check out the trailers on our website.

If you are on facebook we also have a fan page. Just search it by looking up Raising Kayn.

We shot this with a Sony EX1, Red One Camera, and a Canon XH-A1. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them.

Check it out. All criticism is welcomed. We like to learn from our mistakes.

The trailer doesn't really tell me what it's about. I think it's not adequate for the level of production value, should have more shots with sound other than the repetitive music. I know sound probably isn't done yet, but that was my first thought. Not clear enough, not very great looking. Although looking past how the editing was done it appears to be really well shot and could well be something I can get into and will enjoy. Be sure to bump this as a reminder on September 4th.

This was just a teaser. They do have another trailer with words on youtube. If you search Raising Kayn. Like I said this was shot on zero budget so we didn't have the talent we would have liked. Just all local talent out of Utah. This is also not suppose to be scary in anyway. It is a family show.

At points this web series was a mess. We lost our lighting specialists, and our DP in week 2 of shooting. Our DP had to take a paying job in New York and our gaffers were part of his team and decided if he wasn't going to be with us they weren't either. That's why we had three different cameras that we used to shoot it. It is what it is. Thanks for the thoughts on the trailer.

Man! We're doing a webseries right now too! If you can get away with a zero budget the internet is just the more remarkable canvas, and it forces you to tell stories in such a brief amount of time, which is also cool. This looks like a lot of fun! I will definately be tuning in!
