Raiders of the Lost Ark breakdowns

[Jared Meyer]

Wish I'd remembered to post these when everyone was discussing Raiders vs. Crystal Skull, but oh well. This guy, Mark Kennedy, has been posting some really well-thought out breakdowns and story analysis over the last few months on his blog "Temple of the Seven Golden Camels."

The most recent, which really hits the nail on the head, IMO:

Sweet! "Raiders" is my favorite film, and while I've liked the others to varying degrees, it's by far the best. It's just better written. Should've had Kasdan write all of them, in my opinion.

Um, this may come as a surprise, but it's often beneficial for filmmakers to break down and study the work of superior filmmakers in order to learn more about their craft.
