300- Zach Snyder's new ride

I saw this trailer on ifilm.com but it got pulled, so I didn't post it. I thought the trailer looked pretty sweet.

the trailer looked awesome, acting wise, i think at times it felt a little over acted. IMO of course. loved Sin City, the movie and graphic novel, Frank Miller is awesome, i'll check it out, but it seemed like Butler was over acting a bit...

My kinda Movie. My Kinda Visuals.

I'm seconding John here. Dawn of the Dead 04 kicked ass and I'm all over 300.

Definitely been looking forward to this. I'd also love to see a less stylized more historically accurate/realistic take on this battle some time (Gladiator style anyone?) but damn this could be good. 'Highly stylized' has it's place too!

It's really an amazing battle... and the Spartans really were an amazing people. The whole 'kill the kid unless it's perfect' thing was very true. It's no wonder the Roman's modeled themselves after Sparta!

I have been looking forward to this for some time.

One of my best friends did some of the colouring work on the movie, and has been raving about how good it looks for a while now.

Having read the comic paperback years ago, I was excited to see them making a movie, especially when I found out it would be directed by Snyder. He has a bright future ahead of him and I was lucky enough to meet him while he was in Toronto filming Dawn04. Nice guy.

Shaw, Rome did not model themselves after Sparta. By the time the actually had contact, Sparta was on a huge decline and really had nothing to do with Roman customs. I guess some can see dual leadership as a similarity to how Rome was governed, but there was no direct influence.

wow....

every time i see more about this movie i am impressed, now i am really going to have to buy my friend a beer for his work on this movie

This looks really good. They had it up there before but I guess they pulled it for some reason. The trailer must be up there for good now that it's in HD.

It looks pretty sick... A stylized 300 Spartans, which is pretty cool.

LOTR + Troy = 300

Molon Labe bitches! :)

Didn't know a "300" thread had already been started up, tried a search, came up nadda, so I started a new one and that was converted into posts for this original thread. Happened within ten minutes of me starting the new thread.

There, link repost post explained :)
