Hi,
I'm new to using AVID and really at the installation stage and I've seemed to hit a snag. I've tried consulting with AVID staff but it hasn't resolved the issue. It seems the issue is with the RAID array i am using (and i don't want to have to spend more money buying the AVID recommended array if i don't have to).
Basically i'm running Avid Xpress 5.6 and using a computer that i recently built and using a RAID array. I get the following errors:
1. SDM error at the beginning
2. Help menu error after Avid opens up
I am using the Intel ICH9 RAID controller built on my ASUS P5K Deluxe Motherboard. I have 4 500GB Hard Drives set up in a RAID 0 array. When I disabled the array temporarily the Avid Xpress Pro Started working without the error messages popping up. So then I flashed my motherboard BIOS to the 501 Beta version, and tried to enable the array again and the error messages came up again. I also have the latest Intel chipset/RAID drivers. Any ideas?
Justin
