Michael Rockmore, http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/member.php?51050-ROCKMORE who also happens to be my friend in FB, passed away in Indonesia a few hours ago due to heart attack while he was jogging. He was an active member of this forum and I was shocked to see his wife post pictures of him being buried. I believe he was buried immediately as is customary in Islamic culture.
He will be missed, may he rest in peace.

Oh, no! That is terrible. So sad.

I enjoyed talking with him before he bought the Panasonic G7. And then after he bought it, his enthusiasm, seeing his results. He did some exceptional work. I just can't believe it ...

My condolences to his wife. I am so sorry. :embarasse

Wow, that's a total shock. He'd been with us for 7 years and had over 2,000 posts, a big contributor to the community. He will be missed. I hope his wife is doing okay with this. Such an upheaval in her life, and completely unexpected... thoughts & prayers sent her way.

RIP, and condolences to his wife, family and all the people in his life.

So sudden, so unexpected, so tragic. We know neither the day nor the hour and it behooves us all to make the most of every day we have.

Peace to everyone.

I mixed up this user with another who had a close call about a year ago while shooting a dune buggy race. I can't find that video right now, but I think it's a different person. But anyway, while searching for that video, it turns out that Michael had his share of close calls.

--- from his post Keep Rolling. He was fine, but he said, "it hit the tires about a foot and a half to the left. I moved down the track only to have a rear tire fly past my head after another crash. That missed by 10 feet."

Anyway, I didn't know the guy, but I thought I'd close with this other video I found of him:
