quicktime export to P2?

Is there a way to export an edited timeline from fcp to a P2 card without any special software other than final cut? (6.0) Someone told me it was possible her name just happens to be Jan and said:

You can also "print to Video" over 1394 to the P2 card and play the timeline back to the P2 card and have the camera record it. And this you can do on a Mac.

if this is true what are the steps to take?
