Quicktime export error 8961

I managed to export my sequence to dv tape with Digital Cut without any problem. But I'm having trouble figuring the Export Settings for Quicktime in Avid Express DV (Free DV at this point actually...though I'm planning to up-grade). Anyway, I get an error message when I try to export to Quicktime: errorcode 8961.

When I first tried to do the export to Quicktime, I saw that there were choices of aspect ratio. By default, Express DV had checked the "Native" aspect ratio. I changed it to 4:3 square pixel.

Then I tried to do the export by following the steps in the "Help" menu. That's when I got the first 8961 error message. So I looked up the 8961 error on the Avid site, and it said that the "aspect ratio" might need to be changed. Problem is that now my export settings seem to be "stuck" (as I mentioned, it originally showed the "Native" aspect ratio selected--I tried to change it to 4:3 sqaure pixel and now can't change it back). I can't choose any other option other than the 4:3 square pixel option (i.e., 16:9 and the original Native setting cannot be selected).

Could be because it is Avid FREE (emphasis on FREE) and limiting you to only one type of export option.

Hm. I don't think so...because when I first called up the Export Settings the OTHER aspect ratio was checked. That is, I chose a different one than the default, and now I can't get it to "go back" to the way it was. So at least two of the aspect ratios WERE at one time available to me. And now it's just stuck on the 4:3 square one.

Problem solved itself, though I can't figure out how. It might be that I didn't realize there were certain Pre-Set settings for export, and you can change the pre-set inthe first dialogue box that pops up (by picking one like Untitled, for example). I still don't know why the Aspect Ration is "stuck" onthat one export setting...but it doesn't seem to affect my output so far.
