Quicktime dailies

Anyone know how I can compress the contents of a P2 Card so that I can email the "dailies" via FTP / Wiki? I need to use FCP (with plug-in?) to burn in visible timecode and compress to send to a transcriber...How do you do this?

If you had premiere pro 2.0, you could do it as a pdf file, and the client could make comments at frame points (like a key frame with text document linked to it).

Why not on a Mac? MacOS X ist pdf-based natively. :-)

Premiere Pro 2.0 has a new feature that embeds a lower res version of your timeline into a PDF. You email or ftp it to a client. The client opens the .pdf and watches the movie. they can stop it a points they are interested in and add notes.....for example.."cut this shot...it sucks!" and then it automatically sends a small files back to the original creator of the piece. Then that file is imported into Premiere Pro 2.0 and automatically overlayed on the timeline so that little "notes" are tagged where the "client" wants changes or gives approval. YOu can repeat this over and over. It's pretty cool. If it just supported DVCPROHD I'd be loving it.

In FCP you compress the movie to any size you want then use Ichat or an AIM account to transfer the file.
