Hi all,
I use FCP and a dual G5. I was curious if anybody has had this problem before... I recently made some test footage of my jib/dolly. It all looks great as I watch it in FCP, but when I use Quicktime Conversion to export it for the web it has a digital "jitter" throughout the footage. Here is the clip:

I have tried about every compression setting. Sorenson, Sorenson 3, H.264; MPEG-4, etc. I adjusted the number of frames to be keyed all the way down to one; tried different quality settings; and on and on.
The footage has the effect on my Mac, my PC, and my friends PC. It has the "jitter" effect weather I play it from my web space or from the file on my computer.
After looking at some of the clips that I have posted on my website in the past, I realized that they too have this "jitter" effect. I think that it is just more noticeable in the jib/dolly clip above because of the camera movement.
Has anybody ever had this problem before or can somebody help me figure this out. I have spent days pounding away at this and it is driving me crazy.
:furious3:
Thanks!
