I wanted to share this video quick on my shoulder rig setup for the Odyssey 7Q and the FS700. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!

I'd love to see some closeups. My equipment is very different from your FS700, but it's always helpful to see how other people have made the various bits fit together.

Am I the only one with a box full of rig parts that were purchased but didn't work quite right for what I had in mind, or that were used once but never needed again? :)

My eyesight wouldn't allow me to have the Odyssey that close to my eyes, hence why I use an EVF and place the Odyssey on the back (which also acts as a counterweight). But nice to see your rig too, thanks for sharing and making the video.

nice rig. would you post pics of the ody's extension arm?
Thanks gumonstro....the extension arm is pieced together from a combination of 1/4-20 to 15mm spud rods, 15 mm rods, and 15mm 90 degree adapters. I use them for everything. I think a high quality ultralight rod would be lightest, but my rig is really solid and I dont mind a little extra weight. I also have a 6" extension on the stock fs700 handle that I made out of aluminum stock. I used the two 3/8 holes on top to secure it to the top of the handle.

can you move this on and off a tripod (quick release)?
Also if you don't mind what was the total cost of all this?
