So, an Amazon seller listed a new EF-MFT v1 (non-S) Speedbooster for $100 off and I jumped on it. What arrived is a slightly used EF-MFT v2 (S).
My question is -- what things should I be checking or looking for to ensure this adapter is functioning properly? This is my first one ever.
From what I can see, there are some smudges on the back metal & contacts, the normal kind that appear due to mounting and unmounting the adapter. They are very slight and not worrying in the least. I see no cracks or rough metal, and the back element looks perfect.
The front element has a slight fingerprint-looking smudge and single speck of dust, both of which I'm sure I could wipe or brush away with ease. The front metal seems almost unused.
So all in all it looks fine. I don't particularly care either way which one I have, and the deal I got is great even for a used one, but it's unexpected to say the least. What do you guys think?
