Quick review of A7S vs GH4

Agreed! The GH4 was an amazing stills camera and the video was superb in good light. I prefer the look of the A7s files and generally could spot them most of the time (more yellow in the skin gave it away) and there's no contest in low light but both are beasts for the price. Great review despite the early hiccups in his previous tests. I like the effort he put in to really get them side by side.
 
I noted more yellow in the skins with the A7s too. For me, I prefer less yellow. It's clearly just a matter of personal taste and there's not doubt both cameras can make beautiful images.
 
I haven't used the GH4 - I picked the A7s because its full frame and its low light capabilities. Its rolling shutter is a poo poo. But having a good amount of dynamic range and full frame and no "need to shoot in hacked raw mode" makes it a very useful tool. Micro 4/3rds with speed booster is fine and dandy but I do want to see how it handles high lights - what grabs them better. Maybe one day I'll test it all out. But for now I'll just be lazy and wait for one of you guys to do it :)
