Quick Question

Im looking to buy a DVX 100 but over here in the uk im having a hard time getting hold of it . i read some wer i need the pal version as you can not wire the ntsc version up to my computer is this true would i need to get a dv deck ?

thanks

Hey, Ya, your in in PAL land. In north america we use NTSC...So you need a PAL DVX. Then you can edit fine, watch it on your TV fine, do all the good stuff. I don't think you need a deck, just use a crappy old camera, THATS PAL, and capture with that.

It will work with your computer, but it will not work with anything you master for your tv. PAL and NTSC are just different broadcast standards.

so i can straight up hook it to my pc edit it etc and then export it into pal anyway . i just wont be able to plug and broadcast right into a pal tv .

thanks

You can either capture PAL footage on a PAL camera and make a PAL DVD, or you can capture NTSC footage on an NTSC camera and edit it to a NTSC DVD.

You will not take a NTSC camera, capture NTSC footage, and edit and render a PAL DVD.
