quick question about rendering in cs5

a few years ago when i had cs3 i upgraded to cs4, after doing that i could not render anything with cs4 because of the scripts left over from cs3, i would try and render and i would always get a message from adobe media encoder saying something like "the original media cannot be found". the only solution was some winCS3clean software but i heard it could ruin all the other documents on your computer and basically using it was a big risk. so im wondering now since im still on the same computer, if i were to go to cs5, would i have the same problems i was having upgrading from cs3 to cs4? by the way ive been using vegas 9 for a year and i hate it, any help would be appreciated.

I hate to sound silly but why don't you remove cs X before installing the next higher version?
i did. but can anyone answer my question? if you had a previous version of premier, then upgraded to cs5, all on the same computer, did you have any problems rendering after?
