Hey,
Looked all over in The DSE book and manual, but when I look at my files on my secondary drive I see the AVI file and then what appears to be, I guess a audio file..named SFk. I just dont recall seeing this before I rendered to MPEG to burn a DVD. Does this appear during capture and I just didnt notice or after the MPEG render? Thanks.

Re: Quick ? on Vegas Video and Audio Files

I have never paid any attention to them before but I do have an .sfk for every wave file I have. I seem to notice them appearing after I create an ac3 with the Vegas 5.1 encoder. I also had done a bit of editing with Sound Forge on a number of my clips but i don't really think the sfk's are from there.

Yeah, I never noticed them when I go to my D drive and just see all the clips I have stored, but after the MPEg render, i think thats when I noticed them.

SFK=Sonic Foundry Peak File

It's a file created by Vegas to store the waveform peak information of an audio file used on the timeline.
