Quick night tests

Got my camera yesterday. Wanted to check out DOF, and some quick low light/night situations.

Most shots are with this old Pentax Super-Takumar lens I bought: 55mm f1.8, (M42-to-Micro4/3 adapter). ISO 400, wide open for the most part. The shot through the tree is another Takumar: 200mm f4.0 with the ISO at 1600 (or 800, don't quite recall). No OIS and no tripod for the stuff outside, so, sorry for the shake.

(I'm not sure how to do the spiffy embed like you guys)

There definitely gets to be some noise into the darker areas of the frame in dark situations, but it feels like that could be handled by a denoise plug-in pretty effectively. But, for ISO 400 most of the time, I'm a little surprised I'm seeing as much as I am. But, I will freely admit that the AF100 is my first real in-depth exposure to actual lenses, and a DSLR-style image sensor camera. I'm also just learning my way around the camera, still. Naturally, my compression, and Vimeo's compression, help to smooth out the noise and makeit look pretty clean online.

good stuff. I am a huge fan of M42 lenses. I love my set of Sankyo lenses. At 0:17 you achieve a "24" look...pretty cool.
