GH4 Quick Help! Need to order ASAP - need a a weird base plate piece for camera

Ok I need to order online ASAP as I am leaving the country. Here's the problem.

The bottom of the GH4 only has one screw in point for a tripod base plate. I have a DVTec MultiRig Pro and it has this screw in piece for the bottom of a camera, with a metal hook that extends upward about a half-inch later. Usually on a bigger camera this drops into a second hole on the bottom of the camera. GH4 doesn't have this, though, and the camera blocks it which means I can't mount steady.

What can I do?

Thinking of a sort of base plate piece that has a single screw that can attach to the bottom of the GH4 properly, yet still at the bottom provide more screw holes so I can mount the camera with this piece on it properly to the MultiRig.

And/or alternatively, I have seen those base plate quick release systems where you mount a universal base plate piece onto your cameras with a universal base plate type system. I wouldn't mind one of those either.

I just need some sort of solution ASAP!

Thanks!!

Manfrotto 577PL quick release adapter. You get one 501PL adapter plate with it which is compatible with 501 series, 701 series, and 503 Manfrotto fluid heads. Adapter plate has a pin that goes in the hole you mentioned some cameras have for "stabilizing" but it is spring loaded and pressed out of the way if the camera doesn't have such (GH4 for instance).

I have 2 of these, one for shoulder rig and one for cage, I can go from either tripod to rig or cage and back in mere seconds.

Amazon:

B&H:

You can get it quick from amazon or B&H ($10 less at B&H), usually takes 1 full day to be sent from warehouse to shipper.

Hope this helps.

I use the same rig as you and I would recommend the 577 style plate. I run this on all my stuff: tripod, slider, etc, so it can be quickly swapped.

Stick with the 577 style vs the link you provided. Its better suited to kitting out video rigs and much more common on video tripod heads.
