Quick guestion; and easy one?

You are talking about a HD camera, PAL , SECAM and NTSC doesn't hane anything to do with it.
The codec is still the same (DVCPRO HD). NTSC is an analogue television system.

Besides, 24p isn't an NTSC frame-rate ! the 24p is used so simulate the film image.

If you want to broadcast NTSC footage shot with the HPX71E (european version), you should shoot in 60P and then convert it to NTSC (which is an 29.97 interlaced frames format)

If you want to broadcast PAL footage shot with the HPX71E (european version), you should shoot in 50P and then convert it to NTSC (which is an interlaced format)

Wana learn more about NTSC ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC

With HD format PAL, SECAM, NTSC and other J-NTSC are gone, replaces by independent codecs (MPEG-4) frame-rates (50P, 60P, 24P, 60i, 50i), and horizontal lines count 720p, 1080p, 1080i
(p stands for progressive, i stands for interlaced)
