Quick & Dirty to Flash

What would be good software to run on an Acer One netbook, that could quickly encode footage from the 150 into Flash? I'm going to be contributing to a local website that is often looked to for breaking news (lots of media eyes on it), and often I find myself at the right place at the right time. I would like to be able to upload a few quickly edited clips.

I know the Acer isn't exactly a power house, but it fits into my kit bag.

Now, I've got two ways to do this. I can deal with footage right off the SDHC, or I could capture the composite video by playing back into my EasyCAP dongle (either play from the camera, or a WD Mini - keeps the camera free).

Would that Windows ..movie maker(?) be a good tool to encode into Flash after some light trimming?

I don't want to go through huge steps to output really roughly cut stuff, just create maybe a minute's worth of stuff, upload it via WiFi and get back to covering the scene.

Any ideas?

Have you considered Premiere Pro CS4, editing off the SD card and using the Adobe Media Encoder to create the flash file? The adobe media encoder will even upload the finished file to an FTP server that you give it so you can literally pop in the card, drop the footage onto the timeline, make your edits, hit ctrl+m, choose your export preset and run.

This of course assumes you have another SD card to pop into your camera while it's encoding. Otherwise you'll have to offload the card which can take up to 10-15 minutes easily.

System requirements for CS4 could be an issue. I understand CS4 won't run on a solid-state drive... why is beyond me.

Can Sorenson encode to Flash? If so, great otherwise I'd agree that the best way to do it is with CS4....you could easily go from Premiere CS4 to Flash. It may be expensive to get set up with a laptop that could handle CS4, as well as CS4 itself....but that would be a good way to go if you do this type of thing a lot.
