Quick Current Ecospot entry

Something we banged out quickly for the Ecospot contest on Current. Simple concept simple shoot. Gathered up some friends and used a 9' paper roll for the cyc. I had to matte out the side on the wide shot, but for this version that was the only signifigant post processing. We'll post a longer version soon (we just had a feature doc accepted to a good festival and are focusing on that right now).

Nice concept, could of used some steadicam to spice it up but i'm a little biased on that front :)
So whats this feature doc about ?
 
If I d-load I comment :) I liked it, I think the music was off to me. I think it was shot great and the idea original.
 
Thanks all. The feature doc is called They Turned Our Desert Into Fire. It's about how Mark Brecke, a war photographer who in 2004 was able to get into Darfur with the rebels help and capture the story. He was invited to show his photos to congress in 2005. He used his cross-country train trip to bring the story to the people on the train and get their honest reactions.

This became the spine of the film ... a personal connection to explain the tragedy. We then use the questions and insights of these passengers to go to experts and graphics to give a thorough understanding of the conflict and why there has been so little action.

We just were invited to the 31st São Paulo Intl Film Festival for a world premier. Our film strives to be both intellectual and yet personal. It's heavy. We're also trying to get the Darfur/Darfur show (Mark's one of the photographers featured) to play with the festival as it did for Toronto.
