Hey guys im looking into getting the .6x or .7x wide adapter. The .7x is double the price of the .6x and says it has 30% greater view while the .6x has 40%.

There has to be some reason why its double the price nad and a lesser percentage right? Let me know your thoughts. Or do you prefer the sony adapter for dvx 100b? Thanks!

Really appreciate you guys :)

The .7 is a converter and the .6 is an adapter. You can zoom right through on a converter but not on an adapter. That's why it's twice the price. Zoom.

Sony wide angel converter

The wide angle converter I use for the DVX is the Sony VCL-HG0872. It has 72mm threads and is used for FX1s & Z1s. IT WORKS GR8 W/THE DVX100A (IMHO)! As a converter it allows for full zoom thru and stays sharp to the edges. Most of all, I got it at eBay for $200. Brand new is almost 400. Even if you got it new, it would probably be less expensive than the Century lens.
