Hello!
I only got my Japanese GH-1 2 days ago. So please don't attack me for a newbee question. I did the hack, got my English Menu, Did the AVCHD between B&C. I'm going out to shoot tonight. I want to try and do some slow mo, at 720p 60. I've only used the FHD setting at 1080p 24. I only have a Japanese manual, and have done a lot of searching here and on vimeo.
How do I switch to the 60 frame mode? Is that in camera, or did i need to do something in ptools?
I have After Effects CS4. So am I correct, all I have to do, is open the 60p footage, and tell AE that it is 24 frames per sec, then export?
In pTools,
Under the heading AVCHD there are two unchecked boxes (720p59,94fps->29,97fps) and (720p50,00fps->25,00fps)
Should I do anything with those? I'm not sure what they do?
Finally, I got a new Sandisk Extreme 16gb card. Is there a program on the PC that can test the speed and transfer applicable to our video requirements? I heard there are a lot of counterfeit cards with a class 10 sticker that are actually less quality. I'd like to test, and then compare with other cards if possible.
Final question number 2. Is there a program, that analyze a video clip, for errors, messed up frames, bitrate, etc. I have a couple shots i did the other day, and don't know if the camera created errors in a clip, or its my computer with VLC, screwing up the playback. I have an older e8400 3Mhz processor, and was playing off an external USB drive.
Hey, and thanks in advance for your help. My head feels like its going to explode with how much i've been learning these last couple weeks. Here and elsewhere. Such an amazing camera. I was up to 4am last night watching some great GH-13 footage, and it makes you want to get out of bed and go shoot something.
I'm amazed at Andrew Reid's Bidge:
Thanks again!
