Quewstion about AX700 batterys

I just purchased the AX700 and really like it so far. It came with the standard Sony battery and it works fine. However, I purchased a couple of off-brand batteries and they work fine as far as life. However, if the camera is filming when the battery runs down, the last video is ruined. The camera will shut down just before the Sony battery dies, but not any of the off-brands. Just wondering if Sony has some electronics in their battery to tell the camera when to shut down just before the battery dies?
Thanks.

There's a good chance the Sony batteries talk to the camera. I can't confirm, but in general that's how it usually works. (The battery will tell the camera it's extremely low/down to almost nothing, and the camera automatically stops recording, closes out the file, and shuts down.)

Sometimes you'll find off-brand batteries in which cameras may not properly communicate with them and provide how much battery percentage is left. (In some rare cases, the battery won't even work.)

That's what I was thinking might be happening. I have several off-brand batteries and they all have plenty of power, and last long enough. But, if the battery dies while the camera is taking a video, that last video is destroyed. I have to be careful of the remaining power. Also, I have noticed several times that the indicated power may not be very accurate with these batteries. I had one that hit 40%, then suddenly died.
