Questions about shooting 24P with FS-100

I just got a new FS-100 Firestore and took it out on the road last weekend. Easy as pie to use, but I'm having some issues with my clips.

I shot 24P DVCPRO at 480i to both my P2 cards and the to firestore. The clips shot to the firestore were captured as quicktime movies rather than P2 files. (Just in case you're wondering, I needed to get part of my footage imported, edited, compressed and up on the web as quickly as possible. Since we weren't shooting HD, saving the footage as .mov files on the firestore seemed the quickest way to accomplish this.) The clips off of the P2 cards import in as 29.97 clips. After running them through Cinema Tools, (FCP 5.1.4) they play just fine. When I import the .mov files from the firestore into FCP, they also come in as 29.97 clips but I can't do anything to them in Cinema Tools. When I run a "clip analysis" I get a report saying that my clip has temporal compression.

My questions are as follows: Why would I get temporal compression on my clips saved to the Firestore? Should I avoid saving my clips on the firestore as .mov files? Am I better off saving them as P2 files? Am I better off shooting 24PA instead? And most intriguingly, how do I remove the pulldown from the clips on the Firestore? Insights and criticisims (constructive) are greatly appreciated...
