Question re: 10-bit sdi out on EX1/EX3

Has anybody compared footage captured as 8-bit 4:2:2 through the SDI out vs 10-bit 4:2:2 through the SDI out?

Does 10-bit recording make an actual difference with the EX1 or EX3?
