Question on lighting

Hi Guys,

I have question on lighting, I recorded a five minute video in my dvx102ben, with a guy sitting in front of my camera, I used a 1000w halogen lamp for light, but I have a problem in that, when I zoom closer to that guy the video looks fine with best lighting, when I again come back to the normal position the video looks dark, what I should do to get a constant lighting while panning and zooming. Please help.:lipsrseal

Are you interviewing the guy? I would go with a soft light either soft box or Kino Flo or something like that. If you need to light up a big area then can still go with the softs for the talent then use Tungsten or those halogen lights to light up the background since they put out more light.
