Question on Aperture Priority and DMovie

Hi,

I have one question that I'm wondering about... how many people use Aperture mode/priority when shooting Dmovie in live mode?

I tend to always use Aperture priority when taking stills... is this recommended or have any effect when shooting Dmovie?

What aperture should you use when shooting video? Is the higher the fstop the better, usually?

Thanks

(I heard you can't adjust shutter speed and ISO... I tried playing around with Aperture though and I can't seem to tell the difference. The DOF is the same to me when using fstop 2.0 versus fstop 8.0 in Dmovie for some reason)

you can definitely shoot aperture priority, as a matter of fact that's the only thing you can do that offers some manual control. in live view the camera is put in aperture priority even in manual mode. you need a manual lens to be able to adjust it during live view though, with auto lenses it's stuck to what you set it to before entering live view.
