Hi, i have a 24-105 lens mount on my canon 60d.

I can zoom in and out no problem.

When i touch the focus ring it works great.

But can i change the level of light going in the lens directly on the lens ? (or should i use the iso and shutter function of my camera ?)

Thanks in advance

The aperture on Canon EF lenses is controlled by the camera. Set your camera to manual mode M, and now that dial on the back of the camera will adjust the aperture.
It sounds like you're just getting started. Enjoy it! …but read the manual a bit. You'll learn a lot just from spending an hour reading the manual with the camera in hand.

Canon lenses change their aperture electronically, via the camera. You can also use manual lenses with aperture rings on your cam (Rokinon, vintage lenses, etc)
