Question...desperate help please Offloading

I'm trying to offload footage from the P2 card via the camera (and firewire) to my Mac...

Ive done the necessary steps that the manual have said, however, when I switch over to the PC mode...the screen sends me to a verify mode which i can never get out of.

Usually I offload by putting the card into a laptop, but I am without it this time.

Any help, please, would be great.
 
FYI, I am using a mac and final cut pro 5.14 and I cant see any of the footage on FCP when I try to import...hope this helps you help me...hehehe. Thanks again folks
