Question about slow motion

does anyone have a good walk through on how to get a good slow motion shot with the Fx1? Camera settings, what I need to do in post etc? I have tried messing around with different settingz but I just can't get it right.

Shoot in 60i (not cineframe), shutter 1/120. Deinterlace to 60p in AE, there's a tutorial in the AE section.

I edit in FCP, so the tutorial is a no go.

There's an FCP specific tutorial a while back for the DVX. It's probably adaptable to the FX1, do a search on "slow motion."

here's what I came up with, I think it looks pretty good. Slowed to 30%

did you do that with the deinterlace to 60p?

yeah, just doubled up the clip and set the top clip to Upper field and bottom clip to lower field. Slowed it to 30% with frame blending on. I'm surprised it turned out as well as it did.

what do you mean? wanna send me a screen shot? Do you mean you doubled the clip as in there were two clips on the timeline>...?

FCP, yup, I just copied the clip and layered it on the timeline.
