Hi guys.

I'm kinda new here, so... hiya.
Anyways, I have been searching the net and stuff and discovered that the only Nikon DSLR camera that is used generally used for DSLR cinematography is the Nikon D90. I was wondering why nobody uses the Nikon D5000 for cinematography as I have seen the kind of quality it produces and it seems good enough for me.
Hope you guys can help me clarify ^^

Thanks!

Hi there!
some of us using D5000 for video, but D90 was the first Video DSLR, thats why SHE has a separate topic, but U also find there lots of D5000 data... read them:)

the main difference between the d90 and d5000 in the video is that the d5000 wont AF with older lens (AF AF-D), while with the d5000 will work mostly with AF-S or later lenses.
u can check it here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/compatibility-lens.htm

also some features like exposure compensation wont be accessible with older lenses.
wich can be annoying as its used to compensate and faking shutter speed.
not sure what i write is clear, but i believe the D90 is easier to use than his little brother.
