GH3 Question about my new 35-100 2.8

I just unboxed my new 35-100 2.8 and have been playing with it for a day. The first thing I noticed is that the auto focus in video is really slow, nothing like my 12-35 2.8 or my 45-150 for that matter. I seldom use auto focus in video, but I was hoping to have it usable for docu's in certain situations. I'm very disppointed and I'm going to return it. It IS a great lens, but for 1400.00 - I'll probably do the new 14-140 instead. Any thoughts? Do I have a lemon? It's amazing how different it is than the 12-35 in that regard. Thanks.

Love mine, but I use manual mostly and don't have a comparison time with the 12-35. Why would you sell it just cause it's a fraction slower and buy a 14-140. It's a faster (F2.8) and better lens all round.

It is a really nice lens. I was just hoping that in extreme docu situations I could use it in af video mode. It's really slow for that purpose (focus times) and I get micro jitter when shooting handheld that I don't get on the 12-35. It really could be a lemon. I'm going to return it. Can't chance it at that price. The new 14-140 for exterior docu with power iOS could work better for me. I'm going to miss the constant 2.8.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I did the firmware update to 1.1. I definitely have a lemon because it's a good 5 seconds to refocus when panning slowly over to something - sometimes faster. The micro jitter on all focal lengths is what really bothers me. I returned the lens for a refund. I'll probably wait until I get my hands on one to play with before I buy again. I have the 12-35 so I know what it's supposed to be, and this isn't it!
