Question about HVX200 using Premiere Pro 2 and Raylight

Hello guys, I'm currently planning a movie project and this whole HD business is quite new to me. Trying to figure things out and make up my mind.

The question I have at the moment is in regards to loading my rushes onto my PC for editing in Adobe Premiere 2.0 I've read many topics on this subject on this board and have learned I need software to convert the HVX200 format to the AVI format to be used in Premiere.

Now, the question is, does Raylight work with PAL rushes?

Our would CineForm be a better alternative here? (And do I go for Aspect HD or Connect HD?)

Thank you!
Sam

I can't help you with the PAL stuff. But, I can tell you that I own both products and I prefer Aspect HD to Raylight (as of now).

Thanks for your reply MrPolarBare :)

Fair enough - do you know the difference between Aspect HD and Connect HD?

As I understand it, AHD makes editing in HD much faster, but I'm mainly looking at the software to convert the rushes to something I can use in Premiere...
