Question about follow focus for GH1

Now does the follow focus quickly adapt to each lens? for example, I have the kit lends and a bunch of FD lens, how would I make this quickly interchangable from one lens to the other? Thanks

might depend on different ones but the one I have (the jag35 one) it has adapter rings that fit onto the lens (they cost extra for more of them) and you can have as many of them as you want that you customize to the widths of your lenses (you can narrow or expand these adapter rings with a screw) and so you basically just use a different adapter ring for the different sizes of lenses that you have

Yeah, you get the adjustable rings and you pre-rig each lens you want to use.

The 14-140 kit lens is good but you can't use presets because it's not a true manual lens, it's a servo. You can use it for live follow focus OK.

go to jag35 website and look at their video. it shows how they add the adapter rings on the lens so you can visually see what we're talking about

Most follow focus contraptions require you to install a gear tooth ring around the lens' focus ring. This works reliably on most manual lens since the focus ring is mechanically coupled to the lens. On the Lumix auto-focus lens, however, the focus ring isn't mechanically coupled, it rotates freely and only indirectly controls the lens. While you may be able to adapt an auto-focus lens to a follow focus wheel, it probably won't feel quite the same.
