I have been playing with the GY-HD 100u for about 3 days now, I shoot allot of out door stuff state park videos ext. When you pan in 24P I notice its a little jerky, are their setting to help minimize this jerkiness. I love the picture definitely has a film flavor but I dont know much about 24P and the motion smooth dose not seem to help.

Motion smoothing is not a feature I particularly care for- especially in 24p mode. By in large, if you're new to 24 frame shooting, you're going to have to learn to adapt your shooting style a little bit. You have to conform to the rules that Hollywood DP's shooting on film live by. Panning speeds have to be slow and steady- basically any camera movement needs to be planned out and smoothly executed. The more precision you have when moving the camera, the less noticeable the strobing and judder will be. Handheld shots in 24p mode, especially with a camera this light, will require a very steady hand (or shoulder) on your part. 24p and handheld shots are a difficult marriage at best.

Thanks, I will have to work with it. You can tell this camera is capable of some pretty fantastic work, just have to make some changes in the way I do things when shooting in 24P and as far as the motion smooth goes I tried it once and that was it not impressed at all.
