question about ebay

do you guys trust ebay for buyng DVX's?
I'm really looking everywhere for a DVX100 A or B. Do you trust 'power sellers', and ebay?..what about private sellers, like ppl on here selling their cams?..
i'm torn..because there are some good deals on ebay..but of course the junk that comes with it, is junk....what should I look out for?
 
You shouldn't buy a brand new DVX100b from eBay because it won't be an authorized unit. This means that you're not going to get any of the goodies or warranty with it.

If on the other hand you're going to be buying an "A", then by all means go ahead because they're usually used and you can trust "power sellers" more. Personally, I'd rather deal with someone from here though, as DVX's go and come through the marketplace all the time with no complaints from the members.

Buy your accessories from Ebay, filters, mattebox, etc., but not your camera.
Buy your camera from an authorized dealer.

I bought my 100A used off of eBay, but it was from a fellow filmmaker, so I could check him out on other forums and whatnot.
