GH5 Question about Dual IS

I bought the Panasonic 12-35mm with Power OIS late last year and with the Mark II out this year, I'm wondering, is Dual IS a specific feature exclusive to the Mark II version, or will the Mark I version have Dual IS when paired with the GH5?

In short, would any lens with IS be considered "Dual IS" when paired with the GH5?

The original 12-35/2.8, & 35-100/2.8, currently support Dual I.S. on compatible camera bodies, but will require a firmware update to support Dual I.S. 2.

AKAIK Panasonic has not stated when they'll update the firmware.

In the run-up to the GH5 release, Panasonic had said that they would have a firmware update to bring the 12-35 v1 up to Dual I.S. 2. Later, they made an announcement that there was something mechanical or electronic in the lens that prevented it from being able to handle Dual I.S. 2 so that firmware upgrade was off the table and the lens would be limited to Dual I.S. I recall quite a bit of discussion of that issue around the time of the GH5 release - you might find it on one of PhotoJoseph's extended interviews with Sean Robinson of Panasonic.
