Question about creating business name

I have an idea for a production business name, but was wondering if I could legally use it. Its a phrase from a book dating back to the 1800's. Is that considered public domain use? I know most things if the copyright ran out on it you can use it.
 
I would have thought it first depends if any one else has registered it as a company name, or more importantly these days the URL!! If not see what happens when you register the business name.
 
Google your phrase - if you get a million hits you might fail to get a google ranking.

Personally Im a fan of "Smith Jones and Bloggs"

Ford, Ronford Baker, Lucasfilms, it seems to work.

Yeah like I said its just an idea, its hard coming up with an original name, which I would prefer to do, no rush on it, I'll think of something eventually.
 
Don't sweat the small stuff. Just start using it online. If you get DMCA enquiries, then you know you're heading in the wrong direction. ;)

But seriously, focus on the important aspects of your video business. A name is a small part of a huge puzzle. Focus on getting work and you'll be too busy to sweat the small stuff.
