Question about 24pA, progressive aquisition

Hey guys, fairly new to the forums, been a lurker for some time now.

Straight to the question.

I'm used to film. Super16.
I've only recently delved into the world of HD. I know the HVX200/a/170 have progressive 16:9 CCDs
I have an HPX170.

I am a previous 200 owner, and am quite accustomed to the workflow. I am used to shooting 24pN, and editing in Premiere CS3. But one thing has always bothered me.

When shooting
24pA, does the camera simply distribute a progressive capture into an interlaced recording stream? Since the CCDs are not interlaced, i should see absolutely NO interlaced artifacts after removing pulldown, right?

I assume when the 2 fields of each frame are combined during pulldown removal, there should be no artifacts, because the two fields are from the same frame, right?

Excuse all the questions, I'm just stumbling over this. I need maximum resolution for an interview, and variable frame rates aren't important, so I am considering 24PA.

How do I remove pulldown in Premiere?

Help,
Daniel

Correct.

CS3? It does it automatically, but ask David Jimerson if you're using CS4 as I don't know about CS4.
