Quality wise

Yes.

You sacrifce resolution when using in-camera squeeze (upconverting 360 lines).

An Anamorphic Adapter utilizes the full 720 x 480.

Also - I would highly suggest you try to test out an anamorphic adapter if you can, and do some side by side testing. You might be able to go down to a rental place near you and pop one on your camera just to see how it looks.

Any question about the "difference in quality" is always going to come down to personal taste. While you can study the numbers and charts all day long - at the end of the day the only thing that really matters is whether or not the difference is important to you.

Yes - there is a difference in quality.
But is it a 'big' difference?

Only one way to know for sure...test them both out and see what you think.
