quality settings

I have done a search on color saturation, quality and a couple of other topics and havn't found help on what I am looking for so my apologize if you have covered before. Most of my shots have been indoors and I have never had a problem with color sturations or in general good quality however I have to do a video outdoors next weekend, and gone a couple of days to practice shots, the problem is all that all the video looks washed out. I have dropped down to 30P(do not really have enough experience in movement speed yet to make the leap to 24P yet and I do not want to chance on a live shot) I have default scene settings except that I set to Cine_ D_ Like, I have bought a circular polarizer and ND filters, white balanced with them on, I also have bought Barry's book and additional equipment to help with my problem.Improvement has been minimum, can anyone point to a thread that might help?

Could you post an image ?
Are you using camera ND filter ? What iris you got in your shots ?

Thanks,
Ulisses

Sounds like your images may be over exposed.
Try setting to manual iris and running it through different settings.
You can also punch saturation in post.

I've tried with the built in ND and a 4x4 filter, primarily I been using auto Iris and focus because of it being on a crane out of reach at times with a preset white balance . Also I do not know if this makes a difference, I am viewing the results on a JVC NTSC crt monitor and have not loaded into a NLE program yet but rather playing froma deck.

Thanks,

Are you referring to adjusting the Hue and does this bring effect the sharpness or resolution at all? I have Magic Bullet but have never used before. I would like to learn to do good camera work instead of having to rely on post editing to correct my shortcomings. I am new to both the camera and video itself and have been a little overwhelmed with all the variables involved, I guess time and practice will help but if I can put to use some suggestions from veterans, it would certainly be helpful. Will post an image over the next couple of days hopefully this will help.
Thanks

I will try to post Monday night, I am unable at the time.
Thanks

Do a test down from the crane.
Make sure to check the results on a real monitor. You lcd or computer may not show you what it really looks like.
Avoid MagicBullet for simpel colro correction. You basic editng software should allow you to adjust saturation. Color adjustments are separate from sharpness.
