Quality loss when transfering from nle to dv tape?

hey all,

if i output from final cut pro onto a mini-dv tape and then back to the final cut pro from the same tape, will there be any quality loss? if so, how significant will it be?

It's digital, there will be no quality loss at all.

Might depend how and what you output tho'

You need to export (output) your project in 'native DV' mode without recompression etc. eg DV.avi or its Quicktime equivalent
