quality backpack?

Does anyone have, or know of, a nice backpack I could use to transport my dvx100b, canon digital camera, and some lenses/accessories? I've been searching but can't seem to find one anywhere. -thanks

I have one of the Digital Trekker camera and notebook Backpacks. Holds my HVX an SLR and a 15" (or if you force it 17") notebook. with lots of room for lenses. I usually have the charger and a towel in there to fill up the empty space. Has a built in rain hood and a strapping system to hold your tripod.

My only complaint is that there arent enough smaller outside pockets. Just a bunch inside a seperate compartment. So sometimes you have to open the up back compartment a lot.

If you are still looking i would highly recommend the Ogio ty 2 as well as the Kata bags. You may also want to look into the Dakine bags although comfy do not offer as much protection nor fit a lot of Cameras. I was just recently in this position and chose the Ogio. So far it has been great.

I spent about 2 months looking for the perfect bag. I read through threads like no ones business, checked manufacturer's sights for extra information, and even found several ratings on each backpack from people who actually bought them. I was trying to keep it under $200 as well. In the end it came down to the Ty Evans Ogio 2 backpack and the '08 Dakine Sequence backpack. Prices for both these backpacks were quite similar so that wasn't really an issue, but eventually I settled with the Dakine Sequence backpack. Here's what made me decide on it, and what I learned about the Ogio.

Dakine- waterproof, burly zippers, 2 layers of internal padding, tons of room for dvx, slr camera and whatever else (the new one can also fit the dvx up and down with the viewfinder straight out), ergonomic back, thick padded shoulder straps, and more places to strap things on the outside than you could ever need. Basically this backpack was more of a long haul backpack made for heavy use in my opinion. I have taken it on a hiking trip and walked nine miles without ever taking it off or feeling the slightest bit of discomfort. If you plan on wearing it for long periods of time, don't worry, this backpack is the one to go with.

Ogio- Like I said, I didn't purchase this backpack, but the main reason most seem to like it from what I read was that the huge internal compartment allowed for two cameras, or one camera and a lot of accessories. The main negative thing I found people saying about this backpack was that the zippers often break and that it isn't very comfortable for long trips. So, this seemed a little more like a backpack for using for "here to there" and not extended wearing times.

In the end, I'd say it all just depends on your usage, and what you plan to do with the backpack. Both backpacks have their advantages. Hope this helps!
